Product Designer

A UX Designer skilled at delivering effective communication and designs from the business to the customer

Systems Thinker

Creating the balance between what is visually appealing and feasibly possible with each sprint is my goal. Breaking down goals and changes to bite-size tasks to improve the user’s overall experience.

Designer, Developer, and Tester

With previous experience as a quality assurance engineer and javascript development, I can walk the talk. Finding commonality with the developers, I can fine-tune requirements to be clear for those creating and testing.

Team Player

Different minds bring different experiences and ideas to a team. I love working with others to create a team that builds on each other’s strengths and helps each other through their weaknesses. I’m a firm believer that the team is as strong as their weakest and that bar can always be raised.

Empathetic

Hard skills can be learned through courses and tutorials. Empathy is gained by understanding the needs of others. Through different positions, I’ve learned that the user is our biggest asset, understanding and deciphering their needs to provide the most effective solution is my objective.

Transition Into Design

Keep Moving Forward

-Walt Disney

After years of experience in quality assurance and front-end development, I’ve found my groove in the creative side of technology.

I find joy in creating experiences that bring comfort, accomplishment, and accessibility to the user. Design can provoke the user and convey emotions. I want to use my skills and knowledge to contribute to that, creating products and services that solve user problems.

I have completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate in June 2024. Staying involved in the design communities keeps me up to date on the latest trends and guidelines. I’m currently involved in the Floxies and UXPA-MN organizations.

Passion Projects

Creativity blends into my personal life as much as it does in my professional life. As an avid crafter, I’ve been known to create handmade cards, large murals, use my hand-lettering skills, crochet, make leis, embroider, so on and so forth.

Being physically active is also an important staple in my life as I enjoy lifting heavy weights, running, and participating in yoga. I’ve been known to call burpees my favorite movement and hope to run more marathons in this lifetime. I’m a movement is medicine kind of gal and will happily add you to my Peloton friend list!
